Cristian Javier Reinstated by Astros After Shoulder Strain
Houston activates the right-hander from the 60-day IL, slotting him into a long relief role with rotation upside.

The Astros officially reinstated Cristian Javier from the 60-day injured list after he missed roughly three months with a shoulder strain. Javier spent the past month rehabbing in the minors, reaching 85 pitches over six innings in his final rehab outing. Manager Joe Espada confirmed Javier will serve as a long reliever behind the current five-man rotation, though he could step in as a starter if needed. Miguel Ullola was optioned to Triple-A as the corresponding roster move.
