The Braves officially designated left-hander Bailey Falter for assignment on Monday. Falter was acquired from Kansas City alongside outfielder Lane Thomas just before the 2026 trade deadline, with Atlanta absorbing his $3.6MM salary to reduce the prospect cost of the deal. He threw 3 1/3 scoreless innings for Atlanta after being added to the 40-man roster Friday. Right-hander Owen Murphy was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett to take his roster spot.
