Brewers DFA Joel Kuhnel After Rehab Window Expires
Milwaukee reinstated the right-hander from the IL only to immediately designate him for assignment, ending his time with the club.

The Brewers officially reinstated RHP Joel Kuhnel from the 15-day injured list and designated him for assignment. Kuhnel, 31, had been sidelined since July with a shoulder impingement and began a rehab assignment on August 2. With the 30-day rehab maximum reached and Kuhnel out of options, Milwaukee chose not to return him to the active roster. He must now pass through waivers, and if unclaimed, can elect free agency due to a previous career outright.
