Buxton Hits IL Again With Right Hip Impingement, Third Stint This Season
The Twins CF has been sidelined repeatedly by hip issues and his GM has acknowledged offseason surgery is on the table.

Byron Buxton is on the 10-day IL for the third time in 2026, all due to hip-related injuries. He last played after exiting a game early with hip discomfort and has shown a dramatic power drop since returning from his first IL stint on July 20. In 73 plate appearances since that return, he has just two extra-base hits and no home runs after hitting 25 through July 5. GM Jeremy Zoll confirmed offseason hip surgery is being considered.
