Helsley Hits IL Again With Elbow Discomfort
The Orioles closer is shelved for the second time this season with an elbow issue, retroactive to June 30th.
The Orioles officially placed Ryan Helsley on the 15-day IL with right elbow discomfort, backdated to June 30th. Helsley had been warming up to pitch Wednesday but was replaced by Andrew Kittredge, and was later seen on the broadcast rubbing his elbow. This is his second elbow-related IL stint of the season, having already missed all of May with elbow inflammation. The team waited a day before deciding a stint on the IL was necessary.
