Rangers Activate Marco Gonzales After Flexor Surgery Recovery
Texas adds veteran lefty Marco Gonzales to the active roster as he returns from flexor tendon surgery that wiped out his 2025 season.
The Rangers officially selected the contract of left-hander Marco Gonzales, a 34-year-old veteran with over 900 career innings and a 4.16 ERA. Gonzales missed all of 2025 after undergoing flexor tendon surgery in August 2024 following seven starts with Pittsburgh. His return raises durability questions given the recency of the procedure. A 40-man roster spot was created by transferring Jalen Beeks to the 60-day IL after his own season-ending flexor surgery.
