The Giants selected the contract of 24-year-old left-hander Cesar Perdomo from Triple-A Sacramento as active rosters expanded from 26 to 28. Perdomo, the #30 prospect in the system per Baseball America, posted a 4.43 ERA with a 24.6% strikeout rate across 120 innings in 2026. He has been primarily a starter in the minors but is expected to serve as a long reliever at the MLB level. Perdomo has a full slate of options, giving the Giants flexibility to shuttle him between the majors and Triple-A.
