Giants Place Adames, Brubaker, Bericoto on IL in 10 Roster Moves

The injured

Willy Adames heads to the 10-day injured list with a left elbow sprain — the resolution of an injury scare that had been building for days. Adames exited a game early with an elbow issue, then awaited MRI results before this IL placement followed. Victor Bericoto also lands on the 10-day IL, with a bone bruise in his right knee. JT Brubaker's bruised ribs earn him a spot on the 15-day IL, meaning he'll miss a minimum of 15 days.

Bryce Eldridge, who had already been placed on the bereavement list ahead of the series against the Reds, is part of the same wave of moves. Rookie southpaw Tugboat Wilkinson was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento.

The reinforcements

To cover those five vacated spots, the Giants recalled Nate Furman, Grant McCray, Anthony Molina, Ryan Walker, and Shay Whitcomb from Triple-A Sacramento. All five carry major league experience, though per the report, Whitcomb and Molina would be making their Giants debuts if they appear in a game.
