Hunter Greene had Tommy John surgery on Thursday, ending his 2026 campaign after just five starts and 27.2 innings. This is a full revision surgery — Greene previously had Tommy John in 2019 — meaning recovery will extend well into or through the 2027 season. It was his second elbow procedure this year, following an earlier arthroscopic surgery that delayed his debut until July 4. The loss is a significant blow to the Cincinnati Reds, who had built their rotation outlook around Greene as a frontline ace.
