The Nationals officially reinstated right-hander Josiah Gray from the 60-day injured list. Gray had been placed on the IL in spring 2026 with a flexor strain after the team tried to option him to Triple-A. He began a minor league rehab assignment in August, pitching exclusively in relief with no outing exceeding two innings. He will join Washington's bullpen for the remainder of the season and cannot be optioned without his consent after surpassing five years of service time.
