Lenyn Sosa Clears Waivers, Outrighted to Triple-A by Blue Jays
Toronto removed Sosa from the 60-day IL via waivers rather than restoring him to the active roster; all 29 clubs passed on claiming him.

The Blue Jays placed Lenyn Sosa on outright waivers instead of reinstating him from the 60-day injured list, and he cleared unclaimed. He has been assigned to Triple-A Buffalo, though he holds the right to reject the assignment and elect free agency given he has accumulated three-plus years of MLB service time. Sosa, 26, hit .188/.205/.275 in 28 games for Toronto before a right wrist contusion ended his season in late May. His rehab assignments were interrupted, and the Jays have since added infield depth via Charles McAdoo and Josh Smith.
