Liam Hendriks Retires After 14 MLB Seasons
The Australian closer and former A's All-Star announced his retirement, closing out a career that included two AL Reliever of the Year awards and a cancer comeback.

Liam Hendriks has officially retired from Major League Baseball after 14 seasons. The right-handed reliever was a two-time AL Reliever of the Year and won the 2023 AL Comeback Player of the Year award after battling non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He was also nominated for the Roberto Clemente Award seven times. Hendriks spent a significant portion of his career with the Oakland Athletics before stints with the White Sox and Red Sox.
