The Pirates have agreed to a minor league contract with outfielder Kyler Fedko, confirmed by multiple reporters. Fedko was drafted by Minnesota in 2021 and posted strong Triple-A numbers over the past two seasons, hitting 45 home runs with a 129 wRC+ across 205 games. The Twins designated him for assignment after he tore his ACL, MCL, and LCL in August 2026, forcing his release since injured players cannot clear outright waivers. His timeline for return is uncertain, with a delayed start to 2027 considered a realistic possibility.
