The Texas Rangers have designated outfielder Jarred Kelenic for assignment, per beat reporter Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News. Kelenic's roster spot is being used to recall catcher/DH Logan O'Hoppe from Triple-A Round Rock. O'Hoppe was acquired from the Angels at the trade deadline and immediately optioned to the minors. He will make his Rangers debut as the designated hitter.
