Hernández told Roberts he would keep working and be ready when needed. When rosters expanded on September 1, the Dodgers chose not to call up an outfielder who could share time with Hernández. The decision appears to be paying off, as Hernández hit a home run Sunday and delivered a walk-off double Thursday.
