Starting pitcher scratched
“The listed starting pitcher was scratched before the game. Is my bet still on?”
MLB's rulebook decides what happens to the game; it says nothing about wagers. What happens to a bet is set by each sportsbook's own house rules, and they genuinely differ from book to book. Check the house rules of the book where the wager was placed. Books differ sharply here: some void moneyline wagers when either listed pitcher does not start, some only when yours does not, and some offer 'action' wagers that stand regardless. The market type (moneyline vs. totals vs. props) also matters.
Nothing in the MLB rulebook governs this — a team may start any eligible pitcher. The 'listed pitcher' concept comes from the wagering side of the industry, not the rulebook.
