Cease Loses No-Hit Bid in 9th, Blue Jays Still Rout Giants 10-0
Dylan Cease was one out away from a solo no-hitter before a Heliot Ramos single ended the bid; Toronto cruised to a dominant win.

Dylan Cease carried a no-hitter into the ninth inning Wednesday against the Giants before Heliot Ramos singled to center on a line drive. Cease was removed after the hit, having thrown a career-high 118 pitches with 11 strikeouts, pushing his AL-leading total to 148. Tyler Rogers closed out the final three outs and the Blue Jays won 10-0. It would have been the first solo no-hitter in the majors since Cease's own gem for San Diego on July 25, 2024.
