Endy Rodriguez had left hip labrum surgery on Wednesday, the Pirates officially announced. His recovery is projected at seven to nine months, meaning he could miss time at the start of next season. Rodriguez had been on the IL with hip inflammation before the team confirmed surgery. He was posting a breakout .267/.373/.467 line with seven home runs across 159 plate appearances before the injury ended his year.
