The Rangers selected left-hander Marco Gonzales back onto the active MLB roster ahead of their series opener against the A's. To create 40-man roster space, Texas designated right-handed reliever Luis Curvelo for assignment. Infielder Cody Freeman was also recalled from Triple-A Round Rock, while Cam Cauley and Ben Peoples were optioned to the minors.
