Rangers Add Trevor Williams to Bullpen After Nationals Release
Veteran righty Trevor Williams lands with Texas on a prorated league-minimum deal, with Washington covering the bulk of his remaining $14MM contract.

The Rangers signed Trevor Williams to a major league contract Tuesday, slotting him into their bullpen. Washington released Williams this week after he returned from a 60-day IL stint following internal brace surgery for a UCL tear. In 17 innings since his return, Williams posted a 2.65 ERA with a 31% strikeout rate. He is also reportedly postseason-eligible for Texas if the Rangers qualify.
