Tyler Gilbert Outrighted to Triple-A After Clearing Waivers
The White Sox completed the roster move by sending Gilbert to Charlotte; he waived his right to reject the assignment and remains in the organization.

Chicago designated Tyler Gilbert for assignment earlier this week to make room for Tommy Pham on the 40-man roster. Gilbert went unclaimed on waivers and was subsequently outrighted to Triple-A Charlotte. Despite having the right to reject the assignment — having been outrighted twice previously — he chose to stay in the White Sox organization. The move comes in September, meaning he would not have been postseason-eligible for any new club anyway.
